The Light on the Hill spiritualist church was built in 1936 by the Spiritualist National Union. When the building opened on 24 January, 100 people from the local community attended. Today attendance at the church is much lower, but it continues to hold a wide range of spiritual events including meditation sessions, evenings of mediumship and private medium readings.
